I am a mom of a three wonderful daughters. I have over 20 years of experience directing childcare programs and more than 10 years owning a state licensed home daycare. I graduated from the UW-La Crosse in Recreation Management and enjoy planning creative and fun activities for children. My husband and I moved to Madison in 2001. I decided to start my own home daycare because it seemed like a natural transition from working in childcare programs once we started our own family. Extended family brought us to Sheboygan Falls in 2014.
I am State Licensed and a member of the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, Wisconsin Family Child Care Association and The National Association of the Education of Young Children. I am First Aid and CPR certified and have been trained in many areas specific to working with children such as behavior management, program planning, child development, social and emotional development, math and literacy activities and more.
I believe children should have a nurturing and loving environment that they feel safe and comfortable to explore, be creative, try new things, let their imagination guide them and have fun just being a kid. I include intentional planning in our daily activities to provide social, emotional, cognitive and physical development that is so crucial at this state early in life but in a play-based environment.
